KYDEX® Thermoplastics perform well in high-traffic environments where traditional materials such as vinyl foils, melamine or laminates would perform poorly.
Kydex® Thermoplastic is supplied as a flat sheet (or can be offered as continuous rolls in 0.76mm thickness) and can be flat bonded to wood based substrates such as MDF. With the introduction of the vacuum-forming process it is possible to form the material around edges and corners, negating the need for traditional edge-banding. It is possible to create fully encapsulated components with integrated three-dimensional logo designs.
